Last week, we unveiled plans for a $6 million upgrade to the Perth Harley-Davidson Ballpark in Thornlie!
Federal Member for Hasluck Ken Wyatt, Michael O’Sullivan (representing Senator Linda Reynolds) and City of Gosnells Mayor Glenn Dewhurst were on hand for the project reveal, which will provide fans and players alike with new state-of-the-art facilities!
Our Chief Executive, Steven Nelkovski was on site to comment about the upgrades which will be ready for the start of the 2019/2020 ABL season!
“It’s massive for WA. Perth will now have the best ballpark in the country, and it opens a lot of doors for the Perth Heat internationally and is a very exciting moment for the baseball in this state,” Nelkovski said.
“The facility will get a much-needed upgrade across the board, and it will be wonderful for fans and members next season.”
The project plans were made possible by the Liberal Party’s pledge to commit a $6 million upgrade to the ballpark in 2016.
Baseball WA Chief Executive Lachlan Dale says the upgrades will provide new opportunities for those playing baseball in WA.
“These upgrades will give us the best baseball facilities in Australia and will give our local clubs and community programs new and exciting opportunities to play baseball in Western Australia,” Mr Dale said.
