Premier Cricket fixtures released

The West End men’s, Statewide Super women’s and junior Premier Cricket fixtures have been revealed for the 2019-20 season.

The Statewide Super First and Second Grade competitions will launch straight into Twenty20 matches, to align this format with the standalone rebel WBBL competition throughout October and November.

Three double-headers have been confirmed for the women, with most sides to play back-to-back T20 matches on these days.

The women’s T20 Cup finals will take place earlier than usual, with the Karen Rolton Oval precinct set to host both First and Second Grade on 30 November.

Women’s one-day matches will begin the week prior to the T20 final and will continue through until the 50-over final on 29 March.

All four men’s grades will play their T20 final on 19 January and two-day final on 28 and 29 March, while the First Grade men will battle it out for the West End One-Day Cup on 2 February.

Once again, the Emerging Redbacks will join the West End Twenty20 Cup playing mid-week matches, eliminating the bye in this format.

“Establishing this schedule has been a very collaborative process,” SACA General Manager, High Performance Tim Nielsen said.

“We’re pleased with the balance we’ve achieved in this fixture as a result of extensive consultation with clubs.

“As always, we are very much looking forward to the Premier Cricket season ahead.”

Matches begin on 5 October for the men’s grades, 6 October for the women and 12 October for junior divisions.
