Manchester City and Rostrevor College have today announced the launch of the first City Football School in South Australia that will deliver world-class football coaching to students on campus.

Manchester City is delighted to bring the coaching philosophy and sporting excellence of the Premier League Champions to South Australia and the Northern Territories.

Based in the foothills of Adelaide, Rostrevor College is committed to academic excellence, student well-being, and delivering a well-rounded education to its students, in addition to youth development in football, and has enjoyed great success in various inter-school competitions in recent years. Utilising their first-class facilities and five sporting fields, students will include after-school and holiday clinics for the wider community. “Rostrevor has long been known for its successful involvement in soccer and we have a strong focus on providing opportunities for students of all ages and abilities to enjoy the sport and develop skills,” Mrs. Bennett said.

“The introduction of the Manchester City Football School at Rostrevor will draw on a world-class program to further elevate the teaching of football and integrate it into the College’s curriculum and co-curricular program.

“Our staff and students are excited by the opportunities and experiences that will open up from this partnership, which will have a holistic focus that aligns with our values of developing all aspects of young people through sport.

“The inclusion of the Manchester Football School adds depth to our already strong co-curricular program which includes a wide range of sports, music, debating, and community service pursuits.

“At Rostrevor, we aim to seize every opportunity to inspire young people to be the best they can be. I have no doubt that the Machester City Football School will do just that.”
