Ozsports Radio is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and engaging Sports Radio Show Host to be the voice behind our sports programming. You’ll lead live broadcasts, deliver compelling commentary, and connect with listeners across Australia and beyond. If you live and breathe sports and thrive in a fast-paced media environment, this is your chance to become a trusted voice in sports radio.
🏈 Key Responsibilities
- Host live and pre-recorded sports radio segments with energy and professionalism
- Deliver insightful analysis on local, national, and international sports events
- Conduct interviews with athletes, coaches, analysts, and fans
- Engage with listeners via calls, texts, and social media during broadcasts
- Collaborate with producers and co-hosts to plan show content and structure
- Provide real-time commentary during live sports coverage
- Promote upcoming shows, events, and station initiatives on-air and online
- Stay current with sports news, trends, and breaking developments
- Contribute to podcasts, blogs, and digital content platforms
- Ensure compliance with broadcasting regulations and station policies
🛠️ Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in radio broadcasting, sports journalism, or podcasting
- Deep knowledge of various sports (AFL, NRL, cricket, soccer, etc.)
- Excellent verbal communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to think quickly and respond live under pressure
- Comfortable with radio equipment and audio editing software
- Strong presence on social media and digital platforms
- Creative mindset with a knack for engaging content creation
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Degree in journalism, communications, or related field (preferred but not required)
